Column radiators are made up from sections and typically look a lot like the old type of classic radiators that were in schools and libraries. I really like the IMA Modus range, this type of radiator is great if you need an unusual size and tends to have a good btu output per section.
A btu output is basically the amount of heat the radiator is able to produce and is a way of measuring what is required to sufficiently heat a room, before purchasing any radiator you should also know what btu output is required for the room you want to heat, as a rough guide you can use a free online calculator to do this, however i would always recommend getting a quote from your installer (most will do this for free as well).
